Earlier this week, Congress nodded approval to #GivingTuesday by passing a bipartisan resolution affirming the benefits of charitable giving. Th resolution cited the numerous economic rewards of philanthropy, as well as the event’s potential to help local nonprofits fundraise for specific issues. Active philanthropy indicates active civic engagement. This December 1st, the first Tuesday after Black Friday, practice civic engagement by donating to nonprofits in your community.
