Today, activists are calling on women to participate in a one-day strike to celebrate International Women’s Day, and to fight for equal pay and reproductive rights for women.

International Women’s Day this year signifies what activists are calling “round two” of the Women’s March that took place earlier this year.

Several protests and rallies have been organized around the United States and activists have urged women to call off work for the day. Activists have declared this day ‘A Day Without a Woman’, reported SF Chronicle.

International Women’s Day is internationally observed every year on March 8th to commemorate the struggle for women’s rights.

San Francisco’s Women’s March rally will take place at 10:00AM at City Hall.
