Time Magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential Figures’ Includes More Artists

This year’s ‘Top 100 Most Influential People’ as part of Time Magazine’s annual list, includes more artists, and leaders in the arts and culture world.

Arts and culture leaders that landed the list this year include Alicia Keys, Colson Whitehead, John Legend, and Childish Gambino.

Compared to last year, when only one artist made the list, Yayoi Kasama, this year’s list includes Kerry James Marshall, a painter, Cindy Sherman, an American photographer and film director, and David Adjaye, an architect and lead designer of the National Museum of African America History and Culture.

Other arts leaders include Ava DuVernay, Barry Jenkins, Leslie Jones and Emma Stone.
