Concierge Key Health, a tech start-up in Newport Beach, California, is in the process of building an app that would provide users with immediate access to scheduling with general practitioners and top-tier physicians in a variety of fields, including neurosurgery, cardiology, and orthopedics.

The app is scheduled to launch this fall, and patients in twelve major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Miami, and Washington D.C. will be able to schedule appointments on-demand from a pool of over a thousand specialists.

“There’s no reason why you should have to wait up to weeks to see a specialist,” says Robert Grant, CEO of the group.

If the app succeeds, the service will expand to twice as many cities by 2018 and will become available at some international markets by 2019.
