Vaccine to Only be 10 Percent Effective, Say Health Experts

According to health experts, the flu vaccine may only be 10 percent effective against influenza A.

Australia has so far recorded high number of cases of influenza and resulting deaths.

Each year the U.S. experiences over 140,000 cases of influenza according to national data and up to 56,000 deaths as a result.

Because the virus has mutated, the vaccine is only 10 percent effective say health experts.

The vaccine helped prevent 40,000 deaths in 2005 to 2014 according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
