Flood maps are warning that California’s coasts, especially in the Bay Area, are no longer safe from rising sea levels.

With every storm, rising sea levels are slowly reclaiming the land, reports LA Times.

California lawmakers are now trying to come up with solutions as sea levels continue to take hold of the state’s coastal communities. But they need to act quickly.

Experts predict that more than $150 billion in property will be at risk due to flooding by 2100.
