Philanthropist Donates Millions to Cover UCLA Medical School Students

This month, UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine announced the philanthropist and billionaire David Geffen donated an additional $46 million to help medical students at UCLA. Back in 2014, he donated $100 million to fund merit-based scholarships for medical students at the university.

University officials estimate that the donations will help cover 414 scholarships for students through 2026 to help alleviate loads of student debt.
