Nonprofit Siskiyou Mountain Club Restores Backpacking Trail in Southern Oregon

The Wild Rogue Loop in Southern Oregon has reopened thanks to the work of the nonprofit Siskiyou Mountain Club to restore three overgrown sections this past summer. According to the group, the famous through-hike provides a less crowded alternative to the nearby Rogue River Trail, which has seen a spike in commercial development. The crews at the Siskiyou Mountain Club, mainly staffed by Oregon college students, work tirelessly through hot summer days to make this and other public restoration projects across the Oregon wilderness successful.
