The National Institute for Reproductive Health released its most recent report on reproductive freedom across the U.S. and which cities have demonstrated efforts to improve reproductive health, rights, and justice.
San Francisco, Chicago, and New York were ranked as the top cities advancing reproductive freedom, followed by Boston, LA, Portland, and Oregon.
“Now more than ever, cities are stepping up and need to step up in the face of attacks coming from the federal government and too many state governments,” says Andrea Miller, president of NIRH, as reported by US News.
Already several states across the country have implemented legislation to limit women’s health access to clinics and limit their right to obtain assistance for abortions.
