Numerous agencies in New York are working together to launch the nonprofit Creative Spirit with the goal of creating over 130,000 new jobs for persons with disabilities by the year 2020.
New opportunities will be created for persons with both intellectual and developmental disabilities in the sectors of media, marketing, and technology.
At least 8 million Americans with disabilities are without job opportunities.
Projects for the nonprofit launch this week, with a plan to invest $200,000 in raising awareness on the issue of low employment for persons with disabilities.
