Houston Nonprofit Provides Police with Dog Partners

The Houston nonprofit K9s4Cops has trained and donated 105 dogs to police departments in 29 different states to-date. According to a constable from the Houston-area, the dogs are invaluable for an officer’s confidence and sense of security. Moreover, the organization’s dog donations take a huge strain off of departments’ budgets, as a trained cop dog can cost anywhere between $10,000- $15,000. As of now, the laudable efforts of K9s4Cops have helped take $90 million worth of contraband off the streets by supporting the work of police departments nation-wide.
