Extreme Weather Events Point to Climate Change

Due to the influx of natural disasters that occurred throughout 2017, scientists claim the events signal to increasing rates of climate change.

According to research, 2017 is set to be the third warmest year for the US as the average temperature rose by 2.6 degrees.

“We are seeing climate change manifest itself,” explained climate scientist Jake Crouch of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

As a result, natural disasters, including wildfires and hurricanes, were heightened due to trends of climate change.

Many scientists and environmental activists believe temperatures across the country will continue to increase on a yearly basis.
