EPA to Set New Limits on Children’s Exposure to Lead in the Home

Earlier this week the court ruled the the Environmental Protection Agency must increase the limit on the amount of lead allowed inside homes, which poses dangerous risks to children who are especially vulnerable.

The court ruled that current standards don’t protect children against lead poisoning.

Previous studies have shown that children are deeply impacted by lead poisoning and experience permanent health issues, such as learning disabilities.

Lead poisoning has been referred to as the number one environmental hazard to children under the age of six.
