A new analysis by 24/7 Wall Street ranked the counties with the highest poverty rates and lowest median household incomes.
The analysis found that though overall household incomes have been on the rise across the country, some counties are worse off than others, with high poverty rates and low incomes.
Among those identified: Dallas County in Alabama (income $31,602; poverty rate 31%); Apache County in Arizona (income $32,963; poverty rate 35%); Lake County in California (income $43,475; poverty rate 21%); Telfair County in Georgia (income $30,288; poverty rate 28%), and many others.
