Already the Los Angeles-based Academy Museum of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ has fundraised $288M of its $388M goal, with an estimated completion and grand opening set for 2019.
In October of last year, mOppenheim Associates worked closely with museum director Kerry Brougher and the team at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures to recruit and select Katharine DeShaw, named Managing Director, Advancement and External Affairs. DeShaw has led record-breaking fundraising campaigns for organizations in New York, Minnesota and California.
Most recently the museum received its largest donation of $50M from investors and philanthropists Haim and Cherly Saban.
