With an $8 million grant, San Diego will finally be able to update Balboa Park’s Botanical Building, expected to be completed by 2022.
The funds come from California’s Department of Parks and Recreation grant program.
The acceptance of the funds by San Diego will immediately kick off the process of hiring for construction of the new design.
Every year, more than half a million visitors go to the Botanical Building structure in San Diego.
