The University of Florida and UF Health received a $12M donation from the Harris Rosen Foundation to continue advancing its research on brain tumors.

The school’s investment in brain research supports a $100 million campaign to support the ReMission Alliance Against Brain Tumors, an initiative that will bring together more than 100 experts of different fields to work on advancing research on brain tumors.

Rosen’s donation comes after his own son suffered from brain cancer, was receiving treatment from experts at the University, but ultimately passed away at the end of 2018.

“The team at UF is already doing extraordinary work, and the Alliance will enhance their progress and improve outcomes for patients well beyond Florida. A collaboration like this is difficult and lofty, but my family and I support this vision to rewrite the story of brain cancer,” said Rosen.
