Due to increasing temperatures worldwide, scientists have found that warming soils are causing more carbon to be released into the atmosphere.

Recent studies have indicated that increased temperatures within soil cause carbon to be released into the atmosphere.

Higher temperatures can lead to a tipping point in which environments will no longer be able to regulate itself.

As a result, many fear a carbon cycle will be irreversible, potentially damaging ecosystems globally.

Scientists are conducting experiments to further investigate the rates of carbon emissions from rising soil temperatures.
