The World Meteorological Organization’s annual climate report indicates that climate change and global warming are both man-made crises.
The UN-agency reported that the new year continues the trend of extreme climate and weather conditions around the globe.
The U.S. alone already broke well over 11,000 record temperatures in one month this year.
Sea-surface temperatures were the warmest yet on record for 2016 and sea levels are still rising.
“The influence of human activities on the climate system has become more evident,” as levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere continue to rise.
