The recent ban of sanctuary cities in Texas has begun to negatively impact nonprofit agencies throughout the state.

Leaders of nonprofits are concerned the recent law in Texas will not only impact undocumented residents within the state, but could also jeopardize the future of their associations.

Recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids within the Austin area saw a dramatic decline of individuals seeking local nonprofit services.

El Buen Samaritano, a nonprofit aimed at providing medical care to immigrants, noted a 50% decline of individuals within their clinics.

Nonprofits are seeking education regarding the new law in the hopes they can continue to aid immigrants.
