With recent studies showing that high-quality classrooms cultivate greater cognitive and social skills in children, PNC has partnered with DonorsChoose.org to enhance early childhood education.
The initiative would grant preschool teachers greater access to school materials for their classrooms and curriculums.
An extension of the program would also allow teachers the resources to properly and effectively educate children in less affluent school districts.
High-quality classrooms, in which teachers can actively support their students, cause children to stimulate their imagination and interest in learning.
Supporters of the initiative hope graduation rates will increase as a result of greater funding for preschools.
