Museum of the Bible Under Construction In Washington, D.C.

The Museum of the Bible is set to open this November, and is located only three blocks away from the U.S. Capitol.

The $500 million, privately funded museum will be eight stories tall, and feature 40,000 religious artifacts from around the world, including the Dead Sea Scrolls and bibles that once belonged to Babe Ruth and Elvis Presley.

Steve Bickley, the vice president of marketing for the museum, said that the goal is “to show and to educate people about the many ways that the Bible has impacted America, not just our history but in terms of civil rights and social justice to fashion.”
