Can using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) help reduce confusion between care providers?

There are certainly some major benefits to EMRs, which store medical data on patients and connect the information across hospitals.

A feature called a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) helps EMR systems to capture important data that then helps care providers avoid giving incorrect treatments.

“These CDS features within EMRs aid in minimizing errors by alerting users to the right choices of diagnosis, medication or treatment plan based on many variations and combinations that are set by experts in the field,” reports Forbes.
